Sometimes the best ideas come when you least expect them. A spontaneous road trip to the Lofoten Islands, 16 hours through snow and ice, led me to a moment of raw inspiration at the edge of a mountain. In the middle of a blizzard, with nothing but snow, charcoal, and water, I created Man of the Mountain—a piece that captures the essence of nature’s power and serenity.
As the storm paused, I had a brief window to bring this figure to life on the cliffs—just me, my sprayers, and the breathtaking landscape. The mountain seemed to breathe, as if this figure had been waiting there for eternity.
This artwork is a tribute to those wild, unpredictable moments that remind me why I create: to push through, find beauty in chaos, and embrace the power of nature in its purest form.
