"Between Us" - Collectors Edition

Each Collector’s Edition of Between Us is handcrafted in Finland by David and his team as a singular, artifact-like object—this edition goes beyond anything David has created in this format before. Built on a solid substrate, the foundation is formed through an elemental process: fire to create fracture and depth, air to soften and stain the surface, resulting in an aged texture that feels ancient—like something recovered from deep layers of ice.

Printed on museum-quality, heavy cotton textured paper and mounted into the sculptural base, the piece is sealed beneath a crystal-clear, UV-resistant resin that creates a ceramic-glaze finish—clean, luminous, and timeless. The defining feature is the fracture: cracks are intentionally formed and carefully accented to echo the natural breaks of ice.

In subtle areas, gold is etched into the veins of the cracks, a quiet nod to kintsugi—the Japanese craft of honoring breakage with gold. Additional gold is applied directly onto the artwork beneath the resin, creating a soft sheen that emerges differently as light moves across the surface. Each edition’s crack patterns, resin flow, and gold detailing are uniquely finished by hand, making every piece completely one-of-one.

Each Collector’s Edition is signed, numbered, and includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity, plus a discreet NFC tag—tap it with your phone to access the full project and a digital Certificate of Authenticity.

Each work is hand-signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity, an A4 companion print, and a digital NFC link to a digital certificate and video of the creation of the piece.

What is a Timed Edition?

A timed edition is available only during a fixed release window. Once the release period ends after the 7 days, the edition is permanently closed and that size will never be printed again. The final edition number is determined solely by how many collectors acquire the work during that time.

Shipping (Collector Editions)

Collector Edition prints are securely packed and shipped via UPS Express.

Because each Collector Edition is made to order and finished by hand in our studio in Finland, please allow up to 4–6 weeks for production and dispatch. Every piece goes through a bespoke process—flame-burning to form cracks, hand-tinted pigment ink work within the fissures, and final finishing—so no two are ever identical.

Each Limited Edition Collector Print is one-of-one, so we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges.

We’re also unable to make changes or cancellations after 24 hours.

If your artwork arrives in anything other than perfect condition, please contact us and we’ll do our best to repair or replace the piece.
