New Creation - Halo Edition

The Halo Edition of New Creation carries the original work into a luminous, sculptural form. Inspired by metamorphosis—the mystery of new life emerging from what came before—it brings together image, light, and material in a piece that gently changes as you move around it.

A Landscape Beyond the Image

Created on pale sand beside a glacial lake in the Norwegian mountains, the original wings followed the curves of the land, opening toward water that seemed to become sky.

This edition extends that landscape beyond the boundaries of the central print. Images held at different depths unfold through layers of thick, frosted acrylic, creating a sense of space around the work.

Shaped by Light

Developed through months of experimenting with materials, the satin surfaces have the softness of sea glass and a delicate glacial-green tint. Light catches their edges and passes through the layers, revealing subtle shifts in colour, shadow, and clarity.

In changing daylight, details come forward or soften into the surrounding landscape, giving the piece a quiet, luminous presence.

A Physical Connection to the Place

Sand from the original location is incorporated by hand, connecting this ethereal quality to the physical place where the work began. Something of that Norwegian shore remains within the finished object.

For David, these wings hold the hope that change can bring us into a form we cannot yet imagine. The Halo Edition gives that hope a material expression: an image of becoming, held within layers of light.

Handcrafted in Finland

Each piece is individually finished, with natural variations in the placement of materials giving every work its own character.

Every Halo Edition is hand-signed, numbered, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Production & shipping

Production begins November 18, 2026, after the Rebirth release closes on November 17. This is when we can confirm final edition quantities and number the artworks. Our team will be ready, and all production estimates run from November 18—not the date you place your order.

We fulfill orders in the order they are received, within each edition and size. Ordering earlier gives your piece an earlier place in the production queue.

We aim to dispatch paper prints within 1–4 weeks from November 18. We plan to begin dispatching the first Collector and Halo Editions during the first week of production, with further pieces following as they are completed. Final order volume will determine how long the full edition takes to produce; if demand extends our estimates, we will keep you informed.

We will do our very best to dispatch paper prints, Collector Editions, and Halo Editions before Christmas, but we cannot guarantee Christmas delivery. Shipping and transit times are additional. If you need your artwork before Christmas, please email popa@davidpopaart.com so we can discuss your deadline.

United States & Canada — paper prints: All paper prints are sent in bulk from Finland to our shipping partners in the United States and Canada, then delivered locally using USPS or Canada Post labels. This consolidates international handling and makes local delivery more efficient.

Collector & Halo Editions: These are securely packed in wooden crates and shipped separately, directly to each client.
